The Con Season Has Begun !

Well, it has been a while since my last post, but let me assure you there are very good reasons :-) One such reason has been the preparation to attend two back-to-back con this March.

The first convention was Omega Con, which I will say was a blast before I get into any addition details. I will be posting pictures soon of this convention. Now, I will talk about what was wrong with this convention. First of all, I was listed as a Production Guest, which was a guest category that was, for some reason, completely neglected by those that ran the show. The things that were correct, with only a few scheduling conflicts, were the literary track, the music in the tavern, and the science track. But this problem is that this convention had artists such as Brom and Jael, and Stephen Hickman, which were almost completely ignored. Such was the case with all of the production guests as well. I was drafted by Dr. Travis Taylor to join him on a science panel or else I would not have had any panels at all. If anyone from the staff at Omega Con are listening, please learn from these mistakes and don't let the failing happen again next year! What you have has great potential.

The second such convention is a staple for me. It was FantaSciCon, which was held in Chattanooga, TN. The only potential hiccup for this con was that it was held on Easter weekend, which apparently caused a few guest and attendees to not be able to make it. Now, I am not exaggerating when I say that this was probably one of the best FantaSciCons yet as the panel topics (outlaw heroes themed) were spectacular and had some of the best group participation and discussion. To those that missed it, you missed a real gem of a convention! To Dutch and Mickey, the two people that run the show, what you do is absolutely amazing, and your efforts show!

Anyway, that is all for now. I will be posting updates soon about our new novel release, which will be going to the printer towards the end of this week. All I can say is that it is a dark urban fantasy tale written by Christina Barber titled, Seely's Pond.

Look for more details soon.

Sincerely,

Joe
